HOW TO DONATE TO SUPPORT ISRAEL
See below for different ways to support Israel.
Shalom u’vracha. It is difficult for me to write this letter. I had the z’chut 50 years ago to volunteer and to serve my Nation during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. At that time I celebrated my 19th birthday in Egypt wearing IDF fatigues. Baruch Hashem, I had the z’chut to serve in all subsequent operations and wars at various levels. This war, Yom Kippur War II, is far harder for me. I, like all Israeli parents, watched on Shabbat-Simchat Torah morning, as 4 of my children – parents themselves – were called back to their units to defend Am Yisrael and our Land.
A war of this scale is beyond the “normal” wartime readiness levels, This war will not be over in a week and not in 2 weeks. This will be a long drawn-out war with a massive call-up of combat reserves many, many, tens of thousands not seen since 1973!
I therefore turn to you, our holy brethren in Israel and in the Diaspora, to participate to the best of your capabilities in helping us supply the following:
· 50,000 pairs of olive green dri-fit Tzitzit, as per IDF regulations, for combat soldiers
· 30,000 pocket Sifrei Magen Yisrael Tehillim-Siddur
· 5,000 special Shabbat pens
· Tens of thousands of kippot
· 2,000 Talitot
· 1,000 pairs of Tefillin
· 150 Field Aronot Kodesh
· 150 Field Torah Library kits
Please donate HERE.

Dear Friends,
I usually ask for help for someone else, and this time is no different. This is to feed and nourish our brothers and sisters in the Israeli IDF. As many of you know, a lot of the stores and restaurants in central Jerusalem are closed now because many of their owners were called up, others because people do not want to go out.
Our son, Tzvi (Howard) has redirected his restaurant, Mojo’s, to making meals for the soldiers and sending them to bases all over Israel. He has been making 150 or more meals every day. He has various friends who are making the deliveries.
Until now, he has been using all of his personal funds to underwrite this project. The cost of each meal is 50 shekels or about $12.50 (about $1,875 a day, his cost). We have set up a fund through Young Israel of Northridge (YION) to help offset his costs to feed the soldiers for the next three weeks or longer if necessary.
From our son and his staff, “Every day we are feeding soldiers who are out there putting their lives on the line. When we give them a burger or chicken wings, normal food they would order in a restaurant in normal times, first it tastes so good that it puts smiles on their faces and strengthens their bodies, and, second, more importantly it reminds them just how much we love them and that all of us are 100% behind them.”
Whatever you can donate is most appreciated. Donations can be made through the YION site. Please mark all donations – FEED THE SOLDIERS. Checks can also be sent to YION at 17511 Devonshire Street, Northridge 91325.

A Letter from NCYI
National Council of Young Israel
Swords of Iron Fundraising Campaign
Goal: To identify and support groups providing very specific and targeted needs for soldiers and civilians.
We are working closely with several organizations providing urgently needed items on a case by case basis.
To help expedite and efficiently facilitate the transfer of funds, we are asking that all donations be sent to NCYI and we will then expeditiously transfer them to the respective organizations.
Please note that we be will updating the requests periodically as the situation is extremely fluid.
Following is the initial list of groups with which we are working:
Rav Rimon Emergency Relief Fund for IDF Soldiers and Israeli Citizens
We are in the throes of a most difficult war. Sadly, I have a great deal of experience from past wars and campaigns. Soldiers and civilians from the South are turning to us.
There is a shortage of many items across Israel among our dear soldiers, such as food, clothing, different kinds of life-saving equipment.
THE MOST URGENT CONCERN IS THE PURCHASE OF CERAMIC PROTECTIVE VESTS, TACTICAL HELMETS, AND FRONT AND BACK CERAMIC PLATES FOR THE VESTS. We have arranged for the production of up to 500 of these urgently needed vests at a cost of $718.00 per vest.
This is the time for Am Yisrael to unite and bring crucial help to our brothers and sisters. We need your significant support. Every donation is meaningful and enables us to help more soldiers and civilians.

Meeting the needs of individual army units based on the requests of their commanders.
This is an extremely individualized process, responding to the actual current requests of the individual units and soldiers.
We’re giving out shlookers (water backpacks), headlamps, underwear, undershirts, socks, dry fit shirts, hygiene products, Leathermen, hats, towels, etc.
Kibbutz Nir Oz
More than one quarter of the kibbutz’s 400 residents were either massacred or taken captive and the kibbutz destroyed.
The remaining residents have nothing left. They need anything and everything from housewares, to clothes, to hygiene products, to any other essentials you can imagine.
Guarding Our City – Equipment for the Shomrim of Karnei Shomron
We are raising money for ceramic vests, helmets, knee pads, and night vision goggles to equip the 40 volunteer shomrim. We are looking at a cost of approximately $67,500.
Karnei Shomron is a large settlement with 8 neighborhoods, situated on hilltops and in valleys. We have Azzun, a hostile city on one side and Kfar Lakef directly across the road, 100 meters from our entrance on the main road. As soon as night falls there is virtually no visibility. We have seen on social media sites in Arabic, that the neighboring city, Azzun is getting organized to storm the settlements.
There have been infiltrations in Einav and Kedumim, both settlements not far from us. We need your help!
United Hatzalah – Emergency Campaign for Rapid Response Vehicles
United Hatzalah must procure dozens of new rapid response vehicles to augment our ability to respond during wartime. Wherever the danger is ― near the Gaza border, the northern border, or anywhere a missile may fall ― our medics need specially equipped vehicles to reach those in need during the critical first minutes following the onset of the emergency.
By dedicating a rapid response vehicle, DETAILED HERE, together with NCYI, you will become our lifesaving partner, and help to provide vital support to Israelis under attack. Thank you for considering a lifesaving gift for United Hatzalah.
Please click HERE (or on the above buttons) to enter your contribution. You will have the option of supporting the cause(s) of your choice
Please note that 100% of all funds contributed will be directly transferred to the respective groups.
We thank you for your generous support.
May we hear Besurot Tovot.
